If you want to go swimming and enjoy the turquoise Caribbean water of Greece, you must visit the tiny Cyclades islands, which are off the coast of Naxos. The water in these islands is so clear that you can almost touch it. Aside from the crystal clear waters, you can also enjoy the white sandy beaches in this area.
In my opinion, the Lefkada island has the most impressive waters and shores in Greece and it is worth visiting the island anytime between early May to late September or even early October.
Porto Katsiki
Aside from the crystal clear water and stunning scenery, Porto Katsiki has many other attractions. You can rent a boat from the port or take a car cruise to the beach. There are plenty of cafes along the coastline where you can buy drinks and snacks. During the summer, the pebbly shoreline is dotted with colorful beach umbrellas. The bottom of the sea is lined with limestone crags, giving it an incredible blue color. The bottom of the water is shallow and visibility is only a few meters below the surface. This makes the beach a great place to surf.
Porto Katsiki is one of the most popular beaches in Lefkada. It is one of the prettiest beaches in the Mediterranean, with its clear waters and dramatic scenery. This beautiful, lush landscape attracts thousands of visitors each summer. It has even been awarded one of the prettiest beaches in the world.
Ladiko Beach
Ladiko Beach is an idyllic setting for a vacation in Greece. Surrounded by cliffs and tree -covered hills, it has emerald -colored water and fine, golden sand. The beach has a sun lounger area, umbrellas and showers for guests. Ladiko Beach is quite popular, especially in the summer.
This beach has soft sand and clear water and is also popular with families and Italians. Guests can also enjoy rock climbing along the coast. The beach is well-equipped with parasols, showers, and tavernas.
Navagio Beach
Navagio Beach is a popular spot on Zakynthos. While the name of the town may suggest that the water is beautiful, it is also a dangerous place to swim. You’ll have to be very careful when you’re at the beach, and you should only swim around the shipwreck, which is located nearby. During high tide, it can spill up to two tons of sulfur into the sea.

Spathi
If you are looking for some of the prettiest water in Greece, then you should try the beach of Spathi. This small bay is on the northeastern side of the island and it isprotected from the north wind. The water here is transparent and green, and the sand is golden. The tamarisk trees in the area provide abundant shade. Even in high season, Spathi is unspoiled, so you can expect to find a peaceful environment.
If you love the sea and you are interested in the history behind the sea, then you should visit Spathi. Its beautiful water and sand make it a perfect spot for a relaxing day at the beach. Spathi is located 13 km northeast of the city of Ioulida. You can reach Spathi by bus from Ioulida or Korissos.
There are fifteen beautiful beaches around the Lefkada island but the most impressive ones are Porto Katsiki, Lourdas and Roustika. The waters in some of these beaches have a mesmerizing turquoise color that leaves you wanting for nothing more than to lay down on the sand and relax under the sun; however, this attraction is best enjoyed during early May to late August. So, pack your bags and snacks, go out there and get ready for the adventure of your life!
